Warranty for Part and Labour Product

Warranty: this function is used for parts and labour products in repair job detail 

Step 1. Go to repair job detail -> select Warrantt List tab

Step 2. Click New 

Step 3. In the Add Warranty popup, fill in the fields

  • Security Key: enter repair security key ie security sticker
  • Job Tracking Number: Links the warranty to a specific repair job (auto-filled from the job).
  • Warranty Type: Determines which fields are shown below (see logic below).
    Logic:
    • Parts & Labour Products → shows Parts Information field & Labour Information field
    • Parts → shows only Parts Information field
    • Labour Products → shows only Labour Information field
  • Warranty Duration: Select a duration (e.g., 3 months, 6 months). Used to auto-calculate To Date.
  • From Date: Default is the current date (e.g., job creation date). You can update. 
  • To Date: Automatically calculated as From Date + Warranty Duration
  • Parts Information: Choose one or more parts 
  • Labour Information: Choose one or more labour products 
  • Description: Optional note for additional warranty details.

Step 4. Select Save

Note:
If a warranty has already been created for a specific part or labour, it cannot be created again.

Customers can view the warranty list in the customer portal.

Edit/ Delete warrantyHover over the line you want to edit/delete.
