Prefixes Settings in the Workshops Module

The Prefixes feature is used to configure prefix numbers for Repair Jobs and Inspections. This allows you to define a standardized numbering format for tracking.

Steps to Configure Prefixes

Step 1: Go to the Settings menu under the Workshops Module.
Step 2: Select the Prefixes Menu

Repair Job Prefix Configuration

Repair Job Prefix: Enter the prefix for Repair Jobs (e.g., "RJ").
Repair Job Number: Enter the starting job number. Set this field to 1 if you want to start from the beginning.
Repair Job Number Format: Select one of the following formats:
  • Number Based (000001): Sequential numbering (e.g., 000001, 000002).
  • Year Based (YYYY/000001): Includes the year (e.g., 2023/000001).
  • 000001-YY: Includes a two-digit year suffix (e.g., 000001-23).
  • 000001/MM/YYYY: Includes the month and year (e.g., 000001/10/2023).

Inspection Prefix Configuration

Inspection Prefix: Enter the prefix for Inspections (e.g., "INSP").
Inspection Number: Enter the starting job number. Set this field to 1 if you want to start from the beginning.
Inspection Number Format: Select one of the following formats:
  • Number Based (000001): Sequential numbering (e.g., 000001, 000002).
  • Year Based (YYYY/000001): Includes the year (e.g., 2023/000001).
  • 000001-YY: Includes a two-digit year suffix (e.g., 000001-23).
  • 000001/MM/YYYY: Includes the month and year (e.g., 000001/10/2023).
