The Location page is used to create and manage another company location (company branch location if any) so that assets can be allocated from the headquarters company to the branch company.

The data in this screen will be used for the Assets, Accessories and Consumable menu.

Assets column: statistics on the number of fixed assets of this location (When creating fixed assets at the Assets menu, select this location).

Assets Assigned  column: statistics of how many assets are allocated from another location to this location.

Add New Location

To add a new location to your organization:

  • Step 1. Go to Locations menu under Fixed Equipment module from the left sidebar
  • Step 2. Click on the Add button on the top.

  • Step 3. In the Add locations popup, fill the following details:
     
    1. Location name: Name of the location or branch. This is the main identifier of the site.
    2. Parent (optional): Optional field to group this location under a higher-level location (e.g. Region > Branch). Helps in hierarchical reporting.
    3. Manager: Select the responsible person (user account) for this location.
    4. Address: Full street address of the location
    5. City: City where the location is based.
    6. State: State/Province of the location.
    7. Country: Select the country where the branch is located.
    8. Zip Code: Postal/ZIP code for the location.
    9. Location currency: The local operating currency of this location. Currencies are created at Setup-> Finance -> Currencies
    10. Upload image: Upload an image (e.g. logo, site photo) to visually identify this location.
  • Step 4. Click Save button 

Edit Location

To edit the details of an existing location:

  • Step 1. Go to Locations menu under Fixed Equipment module from the left sidebar.
  • Step 2. Hover over the location to be edited and click Edit

  • Step 3. Make the necessary changes.
  • Step 4. Click Save

Delete Location

    If a location is no longer operational, you can delete it. To delete a location:

    • Step 1. Go to Locations menu under Fixed Equipment module from the left sidebar
    • Step 2. Hover over the location to be deleted and click  Delete

    • Step 3. Confirm your selection in the following pop-up. The location will be deleted.

    Location Detail 

    • Step 1. Hover over the location and click View
