Create Workshop

This is where we add notes about any repairs performed or detailed inspections. Each workshop will be associated with a Repair Job.

Create a Workshop

Step 1. Go to the Repair Job Details or navigate to the Workshops menu and click New.

Step 2. In the Add Workshop form, enter the following information:

  • Name: Enter the name of the workshop.
  • Job Tracking Number: select the repair job you want to create a workshop for. If you create a workshop from the repair job detail, the system will automatically fill it
  • Report Type: Select an option from the predefined list in the Categories setting where Use For is set to Report Type.
  • Report Tracking Number: Select a repair job from the available list. This list is populated from the Repair Jobs menu
  • Report Status: Select an option from the predefined list in the Categories Setting where Use For is set to Report Status
  • From Date: Select the start date and time of the workshop.
  • To Date: Select the end date and time of the workshop.
  • Visible to Customer: If this option is enabled, the customer can view this workshop on the Customer Portal. If this option is disabled, the customer cannot view this workshop.
  • Parts Information: Enter details related to parts used in the workshop.
  • Description: Enter a general description of the workshop.
  • Attachment: Upload relevant documents for the workshop. Multiple file formats are accepted.

Step 3. Click Save

You can create multiple workshops and the workshop list will be displayed in a tree format as shown below.
