Create a technician

The Technicians feature is used to create and manage mechanics, who can be assigned to Repair Jobs to perform repair tasks. This ensures that only qualified mechanics are assigned to specific jobs.

Step 1: Go to the Technicians menu.

Step 2: Click New Technician to create a new mechanic

Step 3: The system will redirect you to the New Technician page. Fill in the following details:


Name: Enter the technician's name.

Contact Information: Provide the technician's email, phone number, and other relevant details.

Send Welcome Email: Upon successful creation, the system will automatically send a welcome email to the new technicianYou can customize the email content using the “New Staff Created (Welcome Email)” template in Setup > Email Templates.

Step 4: After entering all the necessary information, click the Save button.

Role: The technicianwill automatically be assigned the Mechanic role upon creation. This ensures that only technicians can be assigned to Repair Jobs, excluding other staff members.


Alternatively, you can assign the Mechanic role to existing staff members by following these steps: 

1- Go to Setup  Staff

2- Select the staff member whose role you want to change 

3- Navigate to the Permissions tab 

4- Set the role to Mechanic
