The Categories feature is used to create and manage categories for various default types in the system.
These categories are used in the following fields:
- Labour Product
- Inspection
- Device
- Collection Type
- Billing Type
- Delivery Type
- Report Type
- Report Status
Create a category
Step 1: Go to the Settings menu under the Workshops Module.
Step 2: Select the Categories Menu
Step 3: Click the New button to create a new category
Step 4: A popup titled Add Category will appear. Fill in the following details:
Code: Enter a unique code for the category.
Name: Enter the name of the category.
Use For: Select one of the following options:
- Labour Product: For the Category field in the Labour Product creation form.
- Inspection: For the Inspection Type field in the Inspection creation form.
- Device: For the Category field in the Model creation form.
- Collection Type: For the Collection Type field in the Repair Job creation form.
- Billing Type: For the Billing Type field in the Repair Job creation form.
- Delivery Type: For the Delivery Type field in the Repair Job creation form.
- Report Type: For the Report Type field in the Workshop Report creation form.
- Report Status: For the Report Status field in the Workshop Report creation form.
Description: Enter a brief description of the category.
Step 5: After entering all the necessary information, click the Save button.
Activate or Deactivate a Category
You can enable or disable a category using the toggle switch in the Status column on the categories list.
Enabled: The category is active and can be used in the system.
Disabled: The category is inactive and cannot be used.
